READING, MA — President Trump's loss in Massachusetts on Tuesday was expected in the perennially deep blue state, but how did he fare among Reading residents this time around?
Support for Trump held relatively steady in 2020 compared to 2016, as the president lost just a handful of votes between the two elections. Results from the 2016 election show Trump received 5,318 votes, compared to 5,304 this year. Hillary Clinton received 8,673 votes in Reading in 2016, while Joe Biden earned 10,791.
Voter turnout was slightly worse this year, as 80.7 percent of registered voters cast ballots, versus 81.3 percent in 2016.
