Reading Ice Cream, Sandwich Shop Gets Opening Date

READING, MA — A combination sandwich-ice cream shop is set to open in Reading.

Fat Larry's, which moved into the former Olde Redding Butcher Shop location on Haven Street over the summer, will open Dec. 2, owners Greg Hodson and Crystal Hodson told the Reading Post.

The shop offers a number of specialty sandwiches and allows customers to build their own using a variety of breads, meats, fillings, cheeses and spreads. For dessert, customers have the option of choosing hard or soft serve ice cream flavors, as well as a soda float or frappé.

Fat Larry's is located at 169 Haven Street. Its hours are 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday.
