Reading Lifts Indoor Mask Mandate
The Board of Health voted Feb. 10 to rescind its mask mandate for indoor spaces, but still recommends that face coverings be worn.

READING, MA — The Reading Board of Health voted Feb. 10 to rescind the town's mask mandate for indoor spaces, including businesses, houses of worship and public meetings.
Health officials still recommend that people wear N95, KN95 or surgical masks while in indoor public places and public meetings be held remotely, except where in-person meetings are deemed essential. However, these are not requirements.
The mask mandate remains in effect at the Pleasant Street Center, on public transit and in ride-shares and taxis.
