Reading Memorial High School Principal Announces Resignation

Principal Kevin Tracey will step down after two years with the district.

READING, MA — Reading Memorial High School Principal Kevin Tracey announced he is leaving the district at the conclusion of the school year due to health and family circumstances, The Reading Post reported.

He was selected as the high school's principal in April 2021, replacing then-principal Kate Boynton. A process to replace Tracey is expected to be discussed at a School Committee meeting Thursday.

Tracey wrote in a letter addressed to the community that he will work closely with Superintendent Thomas Milaschewski on the leadership transition, according to the Daily Times Chronicle.

In the letter, Tracey said his decision to depart after two years with the district was "unexpected and difficult" but that "both health and family circumstances have necessitated this decision.”
