Reading Paving Project To Result In Detours On Local Street

READING, MA — The town has announced that Lowell Street from Main to Hartshorn streets will be closed to traffic for final paving. The work will start Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and is expected to take two nights to complete but is weather dependent, according to a town statement.

Detours will be in place for this work zone. The road will not be passable to vehicular traffic, so residents of Lowell Street will not have access to their driveways. If you need your vehicle during working hours, the town has advised to park your car on a side street.
