Reading Rubbish, Recycling, Christmas Tree Collection Will Be Delayed
Due to Monday's Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, all collections will take place one day later than normal this week.

READING, MA — Town of Reading officials are reminding residents that all rubbish, recycling and Christmas tree collection will be delayed by one day this coming week due to the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday on Monday.
Christmas tree collection will last from Tuesday to Saturday of next week, and residents are asked to remove all decorations, including tinsel, from their trees.
From 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 21, residents can bring Christmas trees to the Compost Center, located on Strout Avenue at the end of Grove Street past the golf course. However, trees in bags and trees not completely cleaned of all materials will not be accepted, Town officials said.
