Thomas Milaschewski, a superintendent resident in the Medford Public Schools, is "very thankful and excited to accept the position."
READING, MA — The School Committee voted to name Thomas Milaschewski the next superintendent of schools Thursday. Milaschewski will assume the role July 1, pending successful contract negotiations.
The vote was 5-1, with School Committee member John Parks opposed. Parks said he favored Stephen Zadravec, superintendent of schools in Portsmouth, NH.
Those in favor of Milaschewski were enthusiastic about his nomination, citing the praise he received as a superintendent resident in Medford and the level of energy and leadership they expect him to bring to the role.
