Reading Selects Next Assistant Superintendent

Sarah Hardy, an administrator in the Stoneham schools, has a background in literacy and equity/social justice professional development.

READING, MA — The Reading Public Schools has named Dr. Sarah Hardy its next assistant superintendent for learning and teaching.

Hardy, a central office administrator in the Stoneham Public Schools, has done extensive work with staff in literacy and equity/social justice professional development, the district said.

Hardy was previously an elementary school principal in Stoneham. Her education background includes a doctorate of education from Boston College, a certificate of advanced graduate study and master's in education from UMass Lowell and a bachelor's degree from Rivier College.

She will assume her new role in the Reading Public Schools July 1.
