Reading's Venetian Moon Will Have To Remove Outdoor Dining Tent

Nearby businesses complained they were being negatively impacted by the closed town-owned lot where the tent is set up.

READING, MA — Italian restaurant Venetian Moon will have to take down its outdoor dining tent by Aug. 17. The Select Board voted 3-2 Tuesday to have the restaurant remove the tent, which sits in a town-owned parking area, the Reading Post reported.

Nearby Main Street businesses complained that they were being negatively impacted by the closed lot. The Board previously sought to rectify a policy which led to businesses not being notified of the setup.

Some business owners pushed for an earlier date, the Post reported. The Board decided on Aug. 17, when the restaurant's monthly lease on the tent ends.
