Resident Arrested on Charges of Assault and Battery, Vandalism

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the Reading Police Department from Friday through Sunday. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

On Saturday, Alexander J. Valente, 19, of 43 Hartshorn St. was arrested on charges of assault and battery and vandalizing property.

On Sunday, Thomas J. Fitzpatrick, 28, of 24 Dustin Rd. was arrested on charges of ride, walk, drive on rail property, motor vehicle trespass and vandalizing property. Emily J. Horn, 27, of 230 Charles St. was arrested on charges of ride, walk, drive on rail property, motor vehicle trespass and vandalizing property. Frederick J. Reilly, 27, of 6 Baldwin Ln. was arrested on charges of ride, walk, drive on rail property, motor vehicle trespass and vandalizing property.

Friday, August 2

• At 4:20 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Pearl Street. A car hit a telephone pole and one person was transported to the hospital.

Saturday August 3

• At 5:21 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Walkers Brook Drive. No injuries were reported.
• At 10:28 p.m., a male was placed into protective custody.

Sunday, August 4

• At 11:13 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Haverhill Street. No injuries were reported.
• At 6:25 p.m., an employee from Westcroft Road business stole $210 and a dog.
