Resident Reports Sister Fell into Grave and Suspicious Hut Reported in North Reading

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the North Reading Police Department from Friday through Sunday. The information is open to the public.

Friday, Nov. 9

• At 5:45 p.m., a Cedar Street resident reported that her front lawn was damaged by a motor vehicle.

Saturday, Nov. 10

• At 2:06 p.m., a caller reported that a 13-year-old boy crashed his bike into a tree on Oakdale Road.
• At 3:45 p.m., a caller reported a group of kids harassing the horses on Haverhill Street. The kids were gone when police arrived.
• At 5 p.m., a Park Street resident reported that his barn door may have been forced open. Police reported that they did not see any signs of forced entry.

Sunday, Nov. 11

• At 1:53 p.m., an Elm Street resident reported that her sister fell in a grave at Riverside Cemetery. Police checked the cemetery, but did not find a hole. They notified the DPW anyway.
• At 2:26 p.m., a Swan Pond Road resident reported three slashed tires on her vehicle.
• At 2:55 p.m., a caller reported an erratic driver on Marblehead Street. An officer spoke with the driver.
• At 4:22 p.m., a Fieldstone Way resident reported a suspicious hut with no trespass signs at the intersection of Fieldstone Way and Turner Drive. Police spoke with the homeowners and asked them to take down the hut and cleanup the area surrounding it.
• At 8:37 p.m., a caller reported a minor car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.
• At 8:55 p.m., a caller reported an erratic driver on Elm Street.
