Reading and North Reading residents can celebrate the true spirit of Mother’s Day this year by sending their mother an elegant bouquet that also helps fund programs for students at Perkins School for the Blind.

The Watertown-based school will receive 20 percent of the purchase price of every “Charity In Bloom” floral arrangement ordered from Winston Flowers during May. The money will fund Perkins programs and services that help infants, children and adults who are blind, deafblind or visually impaired, including those with additional disabilities.

“It’s a truly beautiful way to honor your mother on Mother’s Day, while helping students who are blind get a high-quality education,” said Kathy Sheehan, director of the Perkins Trust.

Designed exclusively for Perkins, the Charity In Bloom floral arrangement captures the beauty and fragrance of a rose garden in springtime. Three colors of roses – pink, lavender and fuchsia – are arranged in a leaf-lined brandy vase with Spanish lavender, rosemary, green hydrangea and scented geranium leaves. The Charity In Bloom floral arrangement is also available for other May events, including birthdays, graduations and anniversaries.
