READING, MA — MassDOT will hold a public meeting Aug. 30 to share final design and construction updates about the Route 28 Resurfacing and Road Diet Pilot as the project wraps up on Main Street.
The pilot, which began in 2019, involved resurfacing and remarking lanes on North Main Street between the town line and Charles Street, and South Main Street between the MBTA railroad crossing and the Mass Pike interchange.
According to the project schedule, work was largely completed during the spring and summer, with installation of the final pavement layer and markings scheduled for this fall.
