Road Work To Cause Potential Delays In Reading
The work began Friday. Drivers should expect delays, detours, and road closures.
READING, MA — The Town of Reading has released information regarding road work beginning Friday.
The town posted the information below on Facebook. A map of the road's affected is also included with the post.

Please be advised that beginning on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 7:00 A.M., weather permitting, Lazaro Paving Corporation will be reclaiming the existing roadway pavement on Dana Road.
Following Dana Road, we expect reclaiming to proceed with Timberneck Drive, the following week.

Delays, detours, and road closures should be expected. If you need your vehicle during this time, please be prepared for potential delays as construction is occurring. Also, all on-street parking will be prohibited and will be strictly enforced by the Reading Police Department. We are encouraging parents to utilize other areas for pick up and drop off at Killam School while we make improvements to Dana Road.
If work is occurring on your scheduled trash day, please have your trash and recycling at the curb no later than 6:30 A.M. to ensure pickup.
