Rotondi Named Citizen of the Year

Domenic Rotondi was honored by the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce.

Reading resident Domenic Rotondi was named outstanding Citizen of the Year by the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce, according to Boston.com.

Rotondi is a member of the Reading Lions Club, where he chairs several committees. He established the annual Reading Friends and Family Day and takes part in organizing it each year, according to Boston.com. He also founded the Bell Tower Fund. The fund raises money to preserve the steeple at Old South Church.

He also helped raise funds for the reading room at the library and during the holiday season, he sells Christmas wreaths to benefit the food pantry.

Rotondi has been a resident for more than 50 years. He lives in town with his wife Carolyn and they have three daughters, Boston.com said.

He was officially honored at an awards dinner last week at the Hillview Country Club.
