Scavenger Hunt For the Hungry

Gathering Change is sponsoring the scavenger hunt to benefit local food pantries including Reading and North Reading.

The following was submitted by Gathering Change:

Since hunger does not take a vacation we’ve come up with a fun way to help stock local food pantry shelves, including the Reading and North Reading Food Pantries, this Summer. Please join Gathering Change, Inc. on Saturday, July 14 at 9:30 for a Scavenger Hunt around Lake Quannapowitt and the downtown area in Wakefield. You can gather your own team of four or come to the lake and join a team assembled by us. Hunter’s fee is $20 per person. Gathering Change, Inc. is a 501c3 charity that raises money for neighborhood food pantries.

The schedule for the day will be: 9:30 a.m. Registration; 10:00 a.m. Start Scavenger Hunt; 12:00 p.m. Return to Check-in. Winners will be announced, prizes given out and a free lunch will be served.   

If you are the first team back with the most items, thanks to our generous sponsors, you will be awarded with great prizes.  Plus you will be helping to feed your neighbors in need!

You can register the following ways- Online: Use our secure donation page to pay by credit card.  In the “I would like to donate field please type $21.00 ($1 includes administrative and processing fees). Please designate your donation by typing “July 14 Scavenger Hunt” in the designation field.   You will be asked to create a donor log-in I.D.  By Phone: Call (617) 548-5357 and a Gathering Change, Inc. representative will process your registration.  By Mail:  Send your contact information and check payable to Gathering Change, Inc. to P.O. Box 1104, Lynnfield, MA 01940.  Please be sure to provide telephone number and email address.

Would you like to sponsor this event? By doing so, you can help restock our neighborhood food pantries. All sponsors will be listed on our website, featured in our newsletter and highlighted at the event. Levels of sponsorship include: Scotland Yard-$25.00; NCIS-$50.00; CSI-$100; Mission Impossible-$250.  All checks should be made payable to Gathering Change, Inc. Deadline for sponsorship is July 7.
