Swissbakers Returning To Reading

The local chain of bakeries, which closed all locations in December, has been mounting a miniature comeback.

READING, MA — A few months after Swissbakers abruptly closed all of its locations, the local chain of bakeries appears to be on the verge of a comeback.

According to Boston Restaurant Talk, Swissbakers is reopening its Reading location "very soon." It already brought back its Allston shop in January.

At one point, the group, founded in Reading over a decade ago, had locations in Reading, North Station, Harvard Square, Allston and the Boston Public Market. Its bakery at the Boston Public Market closed in October, with the rest of its shops following suit two months later.
