Three Juveniles Given By-Law Citation for Marijuana Possession

The following is an excerpt from the Reading Police Department log from Friday through Sunday. The information is open to the public.
Friday, April 5
- At 9:04 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Woburn Street. No injuries were reported.
- At 2:40 p.m., a caller reported three juveniles using a pipe to smoke marijuana on Winthrop Avenue. Police confiscated the marijuana. The parents of the three juveniles were notified and each were given a bylaw citation for possession of under one ounce of marijuana.
- At 3:33 p.m., a caller reported a bag of syringes found on Ashley Place. Police disposed of the needles.
- At 7:26 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Van Norden Road. No injuries were reported.

- At 3:28 p.m., a Line Road resident reported that his wife's sister took jewelry from his home.
- At 8:30 p.m., a John Carver Road resident reported youths gathering in the area and he heard something hit his house.
- At 11:18 p.m., a caller reported that he was punched in the face at Grumpy Doyle's.
Sunday, April 7
- At 3:42 a.m., a Main Street resident reported an unwanted guest.
- At 9:21 a.m., a Walnut Street resident reported that her house was egged overnight.
- At 2:40 p.m., a caller reported being harassed by his neighbor.
- At 2:38 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Salem Street. No injuries were reported.
- At 6:23 p.m., a Woburn Street resident reported a problem with his tenant.
