1. . Owner of Teresa's Italian Eatery in Middleton Nick Yebba, Sr. is taking over the restaurant and function facility at the . The transfer of the liquor license was approved at Monday's Board of Selectmen meeting, and Yebba plans to make some major changes to the club.

2. . On Sept. 2, according to , officers reported to a house party were over 40 youths were present without adult supervision. As a result of the party, 38 minors are being charged with possession of alcohol and one youth is being charged with furnishing alcohol to minors, police said. Police have decided to implement a Zero Tolerance Policy regarding cases similar to this one. 

3. . The Reading Economic Development Committee, in conjunction with the Planning Division, recently announced that they received a $10,000 grant award from The Massachusetts Downtown Initiative. With the grant money, the town will offer a program, Best Retail Practices, to local business owners as well as the opportunity for eight businesses to have a one-on-one consultation with retail expert Christine Moynihan.

4. . A Middlesex County woman in her 30s is the latest infected by West Nile Virus, according to a press statement by the Massachusetts Health and Human Services Department. The woman is the most recent human case of West Nile Virus, according to the statement. Nine human cases of West Nile Virus have been found in Massachusetts, compared to six in 2011.
