Town Of Reading Receives Recycling Grant
The award recognizes the "ongoing work to reduce waste, improve recycling practices, and support public education around sustainability."

READING, MA — Town Manager Matt Kraunelis is pleased to share that the Town of Reading has been awarded $4,550 from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection’s Recycling Dividends Program (RDP). The funding comes through the Sustainable Materials Recovery Program (SMRP), which helps cities and towns strengthen local recycling and waste reduction efforts.
This year, MassDEP awarded more than $4.2 million to 291 communities and regional groups across Massachusetts. This award recognizes the Town’s and its residents ongoing work to reduce waste, improve recycling practices, and support public education around sustainability.
