Traffic Advisory: Water Main Replacement on Linden Street
A water main capital improvements project on Linden Street has begun on June 29.

The Town of Reading has informed resident that water main capital improvements have begun on Linden Street, from Woburn Street to Lowell Street.
The Water Main Capital Improvements Phase B was scheduled to begin on Linden Street on Mondau. June 29. Work will begin each day at 7 a.m. and conclude for the day at 5 p.m. The roadwork is expected to last for several weeks, according to the Town of Reading.
During the water main capital improvements project, water mains will be replaced and temporary mains will run along the sidewalk/gutter area prior to work to provide water services to residents during construction, the town said. Open trench excavation will occur within the travel way.

During construction hours, the streets undergoing the water main improvements will be closed and/or detoured. The town advises motorists to seek alternate routes of travel during these times.
The roads will be open to residents and emergency vehicles, the town said. Excavation, however, will limit access to driveways within construction areas.
