Whitelam Books To Host Launch Party For Reading Author

READING, MA — Whitelam Books will host a book launch party for Reading-based author and illustrator Scott Magoon at the book store's first in-person event since the start of the pandemic.

Magoon will present his new graphic novel, "The Extincts: Quest for the Unicorn Horn (The Extincts #1)" on Sunday, March 27 at 2 p.m.

Magoon's debut follows a team of genetically enhanced extinct animals as they embark on top-secret missions around the world, in what New York Times bestselling author and illustrator Dan Santat described as "part Indiana Jones and part James Bond."

Magoon has been designing, writing and illustrating books for young readers since 2003. He has published more than 25 picture books, including LINUS The Little Yellow Pencil, Breathe and The Boy Who Cried Bigfoot.
