• South Shore Food Bank and Interfaith Social Services receive 40,000-pound food donation from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (massnonprofit.org) — A massive 40,000‑pound food shipment just arrived in Rockland to support the South Shore Food Bank’s warehouse on Reservoir Park Drive and Interfaith Social Services. The donation, from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will help restock shelves serving thousands of households across Rockland and 27 neighboring communities that have seen record demand in recent months.
   

• Man charged with fatal Nov. 11 shooting in Rockland (bostonglobe.com) — A man has been charged in connection with the November 11 shooting that killed 29‑year‑old Rockland resident Darnel Andre. Police say Andre was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a parked vehicle and later died at South Shore Hospital, with the suspect now awaiting a January 9 court appearance.
