5 Things: Boston Receiving $17.5-Milion from Homeland Security, 60% Increase

  3. Boston is receiving $17.5-million in funding from the Department of Homeland Security, a 60% increase from 2013, to support ongoing and future homeland security initiatives.
  4. The Museum of Fine Arts will hold a Memorial Day Community Weekend with three free days of art and family fun at the Museum of Fine Arts. 
  5. Do you want to enter college but need financial assistance? In addition to offering financial assistance, the Alray Scholars Program assigns each recipient a dedicated mentor. Must be graduates of a BPS high school, charter school, the METCO program, or have received a GED.
