5 Things: Customer Appreciation Day Means Lots of Roslindale Deals!

Roslindale resident and Boston Marathon bombing hero Carlos Arredondo will be cutting a ceremonial ribbon at the farmers' market on Saturday at 11 a.m.

 

  1. Saturday is the first day of the Roslindale Village Farmers' Market! Each participating business is offering their own unique deals and specials as a way of saying "thanks" for another year of shopping locally! 9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Adams Park. Davey the Clown is back opening day at 10 a.m. and, Opposite People, a local band (see attached photo) that plays a mix of Afrobeat, Funk and Bollywood will perform at 11 a.m.
  2. Opening Day also being Customer Appreciation Day. Each participating Roslindale Village business is offering their own unique deals and specials as a way of saying thank you  for shopping locally. Click here for a list of all participating businesses and the deals, discounts and what they're offering as part of Customer Appreciation Day throughout Roslindale Village.
  3. Roslindale resident and Boston Marathon bombing hero Carlos Arredondo threw out a first pitch with the victim he saved, at the Tuesday Red Sox game. Arrendondo will be cutting a ceremonial ribbon at the farmers' market on Saturday at 11 a.m.
  4. Delfino Restaurant six-course dinner on Monday, June 3 will benefit the One Fund Boston. $125 per person with tickets being sold in pairs.
  5. Did you know that on 1907, owner John I. Taylor renamed his baseball team the Red Sox. The team had been called the Americans, the Pilgrims, the Somersets, the Puritans, and the Plymouth Rocks, according to the City's website.
