5 Things July 16: Free Concert with the Carla Ryder Band at Adams Park
Looking for a place to cool off? The Flaherty Pool is renovated and ready for you to jump into!

- On Thursday come see The Carla Ryder Band play at Adams Park, hosted by the Boston Department of Parks and Recreation.
- Also on Thursday, is a night of Third Thursday events in Roslindale Village, with deals, discounts and more like a free dessert at Shanti Restaurant (with dinner) when you mention Third Thursday. Click here for all participating businesses and what they're offering.
- Looking for a place to cool off? The Flaherty Pool is renovated and ready for you to jump into!
- According to Boston's website, Massachusetts began to issue driver's licenses and registration plates in June 1903. Remember to check your registration dates so you don't get ticketed.
- All week the YMAA Boston is holding its first Green Dragons summer camp for kids ages 9 and up. Didn't make it this week - contact YMAA to let them know you're child is interested. Each morning the Green Dragons will spend time at the community garden at the top of Cummins Highway learning how to plant, cultivate and harvest their own vegetables. Kung fu and horticulture lessons will be held at the studio at 5 Basile St., Roslindale. Lunch and recreational activities at the Roslindale Community Center will be provided, and possibly field trip. The camp is $295 for the week and includes lunch.
