5 Things: Parkway Running Club Highland Hash Fun Run on Thursday
Space is still available for any 11- and 12-year-old who would like to play in Cooperstown with the Boston Parkway Club.

- The Alray Scholars Program offers scholarships of up to $5,000 for Boston public school students who left college early and want to return to earn degrees at two- or four-year colleges, trade schools or for other post-secondary education and certification programs. The deadline to apply is Saturday, June 15. More information and application materials can be found online at alray.org or by emailing info@alray.org.
- Registration for the Boston Parkway Club Travel Baseball team for children 7- to 12-years-old is ongoing until June 21. Boston Parkway Club will have five teams. For more info please contact Dennis O'Connor at bostonparkwayclub@gmail.com, or call 617-469-0563 or visit www.leaguelineup.com/bpc.

- The Boston Ward 20 Democratic Committee is meeting on Wednesday at the West Pub & Restaurant Function Room. All the candidates running for At-Large City Council have been invited to to the meeting. Each will be given a couple of minutes to speak at the meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend. 7 p.m.
- On Thursday is a Parkway Running Club Highland Hash Fun Run starting and ending at Blanchard's with Baxter Brewing Co. of Lewiston, Maine and food from West Roxburys's Banh Mi Ngon. Participants will meet in the Blanchard's parking lot at 6:30 pm, where they can choose from either a 2.5-mile or 5-mile route based on their skill level. Each route will end back at Blanchard's in the upstairs Tasting Room, with light sandwiches from our local Vietnamese sandwich shop, Banh Mi Ngon, and locally brewed craft beer from Baxter Brewing Company (Lewiston, ME) for 90 minutes following the run. Every runner gets a can of the featured beer at the finish, compliments of WRMS, and Parkway Running Club is generously providing the food at the event. There is no cost for participating in the Highland Hash Spring Fun Run series, which is being sponsored by the Parkway Running Club and West Roxbury Main Streets.
