5 Things: Sacred Heart Students Gift $5,000 to Non-Profit
On Thursday is a bunch of sales, discounts, enterintament and more with Third Thursday, a Roslindale Village Main Street sponsored evening.

- Eighth-graders at Sacred Heart Elementary selected Back on My Feet to receive a $5,000 grant from the Highland Street Foundation. Through a leadership initiative program, the students learned why nonprofits exist, what they do, and how to evaluate their effectiveness, including how to conduct research, read a budget and make a presentation. - On Thursday is a bunch of sales, discounts, enterintament and more with Third Thursday, a Roslindale Village Main Street sponsored evening. and helped organize the Summer Stroll and the Holiday Wander. Area businesses will have things such a cooking demo, drink and food offerings. For more info on each business click here.
- Registration is now open to win the 15th annual Mayor of Roslindale contest to help raise funds for the Roslindale Day Parade. Prospective candidates solicit donations for $1 each, with each dollar counting as one vote. The winner of the contest will be honored as this year’s “Mayor of Roslindale” in the 38th annual parade on October 6, 2013. Click here to register.
