Dorchester Man Arrested for Driving on Suspended License in Roslindale

Driving through a red light when you know you don't have a valid driver's license is often a way to get arrested. That is what happened to a Dorchester man while driving through Roslindale.
On June 3 around 8 a.m., Elijah Edwards, of 193 Callendar St., Dorchester, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked driver's license and for a red light violation, according to a Boston Police report.

A patrol unit noticed the suspect drive through a red light at Poplar and Beech streets in Roslindale, and followed the car to Chisholm Road. The driver was asked for his license, and allegedly said he did not have a license. A check from the cruiser's computer revealed the suspect had a revoked driver's license.
