Washington Irving Middle School students recently took ice skating lessons from members of the The Skating Club of Boston and <a href="http://www.fredandmel.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">"Skating with the Stars" winner Fred Palascak</a>.  At the Frog Pond, students took part in a master class taught by top national figure skating competitors, who are members of The Skating Club of Boston. The event was a community celebration to kick off the one-year countdown to the 2014 U.S. Prudential Figure Skating Championships being held next January at the TD Garden. The Skating Club of Boston will be hosting next year's Championships.
