Roslindale Resident Turns in Father's WWII Knife to Boston Police

The resident said she did not want the knife in her Roslindale home.

 

A Roslindale resident turned in her father's World War II military service knife to Boston Police after finding it in her Sycamore Street home.

The woman told police on March 1 around 8:06 p.m. that her father passed away about 10 years ago, but that she just found the double-edged knife from her father's military career, according to a Boston Police report.

The resident said she took photos of the knife for memory sake, but she did not want it in her home, thus she gave it to the police for safekeeping. The sheathed knife was placed into the knife box and logged into property at District E-5.
