Schweppes Bottle Used in Assault and Theft in Roslindale

A Roslindale youth was robbed of his cell phone and assaulted with a Schweppes bottle by assailants who fled in a vehicle on Beech Street.
On June 14 around 10:45 p.m., Boston Police met with the male victim at his Roslindale residence, who said he was approached by four male suspects in a gray motor vehicle while walking home, according to a Boston Police report.

The suspects began asking the victim questions as he walked, and one suspect exited the vehicle and approached him on foot, and then demanded his cell phone.
The suspect then pushed the victim down snatching his phone, and pushed him into a concrete wall. While the victim was walking away, a soda bottle hit him in the middle of his back. The two individuals in the backseat of the car were not active in the robbery, said the victim to police.

Boston Police went back to the scene with the victim who found a Schweppes bottle at 471 Beech St., which was photographed and submitted for fingerprints to the lab.
