Survey Says Boston Ranks 60th In Cell Service

The latest report by Consumerworld.org shows Boston is in the middle of the pack when it comes to cell service

With everything going mobile, cellphones have become mandatory for socializing teenagers to working adults. That is why it is extremely important for your phone to load things fast, send messages fast, and provide a clear signal during calls.

Consumerworld.org recently surveyed residents in every major city in the country. They ranked each city’s data performance, network speed, and phone call service and averaged those numbers together.

After calculating the results, they found that Boston had the 60th best overall phone service in the country. The survey says Boston did especially well in data performance and network speed. Consumerworld.org found that Boston ranked 35th in data performance and 27th in network speed. This enabled it to outpace New York City, the most densely populated city in the country, by 14 spots. By comparison, New York City ranks 65th in network speed and 56th in data performance.
