Target of Roslindale Man's Alleged Terrorist Plot Revealed

CNN reports that the intended victim of Usaama Rahim’s alleged beheading plot was anti-Islamic activist Pamela Geller, a controversial political commentator based in New York.

Geller most recently garnered national attention for hosting a Mohammed drawing contest in Garland, Texas, which, incidentally, was unsuccessfully attacked.

Rahim was shot after allegedly threatening police officers with a large knife at a Roslindale CVS Tuesday morning. Recorded phone calls obtained by law enforcement have him saying he didn’t have the patience to carry out his plan against Geller, and would attack police instead, according to authorities.

David Wright, of Everett, faces federal charges of obstructing justice for allegedly telling Rahim to destroy his cell phone before his demise.
