27 Salem High Students Inducted Into Tri-M Music Honor Society
Candidates maintain a minimum A-minus average in music classes, a B in other coursework, and demonstrate leadership and community service.

SALEM, MA — The Salem High School music department recently welcomed 27 students into the Tri-M Music Honor Society for their demonstrated academic ability, leadership qualities, and commitment to community service.
The ceremony held last week was led by long-time music educator and Tri-M Chapter No. 3362 advisor Cynthia Napierkowski. Presiding over the induction were senior inductees Linus Owen and Taliyah Perrin.
To be eligible for the Tri-M Music Honor Society, students must meet the following criteria:

- Enrolled in their third year of the honors section of either band, orchestra, or chorus
- Maintain a minimum A-minus average in music classes and a minimum B average in all other coursework.
- Demonstrate leadership and involvement in school-sponsored activities.
- Perform a requisite amount of community service hours without compensation.
- Provide a letter of recommendation from a faculty member detailing respect, responsibility, and character.
