Please be aware that like many employers, the City is currently down personnel due to COVID-19; this means that it will take longer than normal to clear roadways. Please be patient and know that all streets will be plowed, however it may take more time than customary to get to them.

You can assist by clearing snow from your sidewalk (please do not throw snow back into the street), and from around fire hydrants and catch basins near your property.

Currently, snowfall is forecast to conclude around mid-afternoon. Given the amount of snow, colder temperatures, and limited plowing personnel, the City expects clean up to continue through the day and into the weekend. An end time for the current parking ban has not been set yet, but when it is it will be announced on www.salem.com and the City’s social media channels, CodeRED, the My Salem MA app, and on Salem Access TV.

Note that Mass General Brigham is rescheduling the mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic scheduled to take place today at Market Basket on Highland Avenue to tomorrow, January 8th from 11AM-1PM. Find vaccine sites at www.salem.com/vaccine.
