Jury Indicts Two Men For Salem State University Brawl
The Oct. 25 fight, which was captured on video, followed a Halloween dance and left one man in a coma.

SALEM, MA — An Essex County grand jury handed down indictments against two men for their role in an Oct. 25 fight on the Salem State University campus that left one man in a coma. Investigators targeted Adel Silva, 22, of Boston, and Bobby Lopes, 21, of Everett, after releasing still images from a video of the fight and receiving tips about the two men. Silva pleaded not guilty and was held without bail following a hearingin Salem Superior Court Tuesday; Lopes is still wanted on an indictment warrant.
Nekson Allah-Digui, the victim, and his two attackers are not students at Salem State. They had all attended the Multicultural Student Association Halloween Dance at Harrington Hall. The fight broke out as the dance broke up around 1 a.m.
Investigators say Allah-Digui was slammed onto the ground during the fight and he slipped into a coma. His current condition in unknown, according to the Salem News, which first reported this story.
