SALEM—You might be able to get a drink at Dotty and Ray's soon.
State Senator Joan Lovely (D) and Representative Paul Tucker (D) have co-sponsored a bill that would authorize the city of Salem to grant one additional liquor license for the sale of wine and malt beverages to be drunk on the premises at 112 North Street.. Local approval from the Salem Licensing Board has already been acquired.
Senate Bill 2142 was referred to the committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure earlier in August. A hearing is scheduled for Sept. 12 from 02:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. in Room 428 of the Massachusetts State House.
