Salem Child Struck By Car On Congress Street
Congress Street was closed Monday night while police investigated the strike and crash.
SALEM, MA — A portion of Congress Street was closed Monday night as police investigated a pedestrian strike involving a child.
Police said the crash happened on Congress Street with the detours in place between Palmer and Dow Street.
WHDH-TV reported that the boy was crossing the street with his brothers when he was hit.

The boy was taken to the hospital in a helicopter. There were no updates on his condition as of Tuesday morning.
