Mother’s Day 2023 Brunch: Reserve Now In Salem
Here are just a few of the fine dining options perfect for moms on the North Shore.
SALEM, MA — If you haven’t already, don’t waste time making reservations if you plan to celebrate Mom with brunch at her favorite North Shore restaurant on Mother’s Day, which falls on Sunday, May 14, this year.
North Shore restaurants could use the business as they continue to face economic headwinds that began with the COVID-19 pandemic. Some restaurants may be closed so their employees can support their own mothers or be pampered by their children, but here are some options:
Ledger's Restaurant and Bar in Salem will be offering exclusively a special, three-course prix-fixe menu from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for $75 per person. This menu will be lunch and dinner items and brunch will not be offered. Our kid menu will also be available.

Finz Salem offers guests lively waterfront scenery in a comfortable open-concept interior. Of particular note is the 40-seat bar which flows from the dining room to the lounge, floor-to-ceiling nautical wall, hand-painted lobster octopus mural, open-style kitchen and built-in raw and sushi bars.
Rivalry Sports Lounge and Kitchen of Salem is the North Shore's newest modern and trendy Sports Lounge. Rivalry offers an all-scratch modern American menu and handcrafted cocktails.

The Village Tavern of Salem has American tavern food, roast prime rib, seafood, 16 choice burgers and steak tips at a downtown location.
Landing Restaurant of Marblehead was first established in 1972 and has withstood the test of time and the elements. Award-winning Chef Alex Pineda was recently featured on The Food Network show "Chopped."

Several chain restaurants and other eateries are open for Mother’s Day this year, and some are offering specials.
Below are a few options to get you started, featuring everything from casual to fine dining. As always, it’s advisable to call ahead to make sure the restaurants on the North Shore are participating and check for any limitations.
Applebee’s is adding a $10 bonus card to the purchase of a $50 gift card for Mother’s Day and other special occasions, including graduations and Father’s Day. North of Boston locations are in Saugus, Haverhill and Tewksbury.
The Capital Grille opens early for Mother’s Day brunch, with seating available starting at 10 a.m. Be sure to make a reservation. The restaurant included a “polite notice” on its reservations page stating that “to better deliver on our promise of a refined atmosphere, proper dress is required.” That excludes gym attire, sweatpants, tank tops, hats, clothing with offensive language or images, and exposed undergarments. Capital Grille locations in Massachusetts are in Boston, Burlington, Chestnut Hill and Dedham.
Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse is offering a ready-to-reheat Mother’s Day Celebration Package that feeds six and features a choice of fire-roasted meats, sides and dessert. Meals should be ordered at least 24 hours in advance and are available for pickup or delivery all day May 10-13, and by 10:30 a.m. on May 14. Massachusetts locations are in Boston (Copley Square) and Burlington.
Morton’s, The Steakhouse is accepting reservations for Mother’s Day, and has concocted a special cocktail just for Mom. Morton's is located in The Seaport area of Boston.
Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is opening early both May 13-14 for brunch and also has a prix fixe menu for dinner. Locations in Massachusetts are Boston, Somerville, Waltham and Worcester.
Seasons 52 Fresh Grill | Wine Bar is offering Mother’s Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is making its dinner menu available all day. It is also offering a Mother’s Day Green Box that serves six, but must be preordered. Massachusetts locations are in Burlington and Chestnut Hill.
