Peabody Football, Danvers Field Hockey Among State Rankings Leaders
The MIAA released its weekly power rankings with St. John's Prep soccer, Marblehead football and Beverly girls soccer also impressing early.

PEABODY, MA — The undefeated Peabody Veterans football team, unbeaten St. John's Prep boys soccer team and the Danvers High field hockey team were among the divisional leaders in the MIAA weekly statewide rankings released on Tuesday.
Peabody sits at 6-0 to start the season and is ranked No. 3 in Division 1. Defending Division 3 state champion Marblehead, whose only loss the past three years came to Peabody earlier this season, is ranked No. 8 in Division 3 with a 5-1 mark. The St. John's Prep football team is No. 7 in Division 1 at 4-2.
The red-hot Danvers field hockey team is among the contenders in Division 2 with an 11-1-12 record ahead of No. 11 Bishop Fenwick at 8-2-3. Swampscott is also representing the North Shore impressively in Division 3 at No. 9 at 7-4-3.

Undefeated St. John's Prep is No. 1 in Division 1 in boys soccer with a 12-0-1 mark.
The Beverly girls soccer team is off to a 5-2-3 start and ranks No. 18 in Division 1. Danvers is No. 16 in Division 2 at 8-4-3 ahead of Marblehead at No. 19 at 5-3-5. Swampscott is No. 21 in Division 3 at 6-4-2.

The Peabody girls volleyball team is No. 15 in Division 1 at 12-3, while Marblehead is No. 15 in Division 2 with an 11-2 record. Essex Tech is off to a strong start in Division 3 with a 10-4 mark.
