Crack Cocaine, 2 Ghost Guns Seized In Salem, Lynn Drug Bust: Police

A Lynn man is facing drug and gun charges after police said the crack and a stolen handgun were seized during a warrant search of his home.

SALEM, MA — A Lynn man is facing drug and gun charges after Salem and Lynn police said a lengthy joint investigation led to the seizure of crack cocaine and two "ghost" guns during a warrant search of his home.

Police said Derrick Poe was charged with three counts of distributing crack cocaine, while another Lynn resident, Chastity Black, was also charged following the search on Thursday.

Salem and Lynn police said two ghost guns — guns fabricated or altered to become untraceable — with an extended magazine and one additional stolen gun were found during the search.

Poe and Black were to face the charges in Lynn District Court.

"The collaborative efforts of detectives from the Lynn Police Department and the Salem Police Department are essential to our shared mission of reducing the harm caused by illegal drugs and firearms in our communities," Lynn Police Chief Christopher Reddy said. "This case highlights the strong partnerships we maintain with our local, state, and federal counterparts and the positive outcomes that result from that cooperation.
