Hale Bradt will tell the story of his parents' lives in World War II through 800 letters written to his family while in the South Pacific.

HAMILTON-WENHAM, MA – Salem Author Hale Bradt will tell the story of his parents' lives during World War II in a staged book talk on Aug. 3, at 7:30 p.m. The talk will be held at the Community House on Bay Road in Hamilton.

The story will be told with the help of 800 letters written to his family while in the South Pacific, according to an event listing. He began researching his parents' lives during wartime in 1980. J.T. Turner will play Wilber Bradt, and Patricia Jamison will play Norma Bradt.

"It offers fresh insight – deeply personal – into the historic conflict as it was fought by the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater and by a family on the home front," said the description.
