Salem Goes Green For 'Living Expo' This Weekend

More than two dozen vendors will be at Old Town Hall and Derby Square to provide interactive recycling and sustainability tips.

SALEM, MA — More than two dozen vendors will participate in this year's Living Green Expo set for Old Town Hall and Derby Square in Salem on Saturday.

The third annual event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with those attending able to gain tips on recycling and sustainability in an engaging and interactive program.

"Salem residents can also help the City’s efforts, and I invite all members of the community to learn about specific actions they can take at the Living Green Expo," Salem Mayor Dominick Pangallo said. "Many exhibitors will have interactive activities for kids and families. Addressing the challenge of Climate Change is a collective responsibility that requires collective action from the whole community.

Those attending can find out how the South Essex Sewerage District uses its magnetic mixer – an opportunity for both kids and adults. The Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team will be there along with the police department;s Ford F150 Lightning.
