Salem Launches Redesigned Municipal Website
The city website now has improved search capabilities, calendar functionality, an alert center and personalized logins.

SALEM, MA — The city of Salem on Thursday launched its redesigned website intended to provide improved search capabilities, calendar functionality, an alert center and personalize logins.
The site was also designed to have a cleaner, easier layout to navigate.
"We're constantly striving to improve the transparency of local government and our community members' access to municipal services and information," Mayor Dominick Pangallo said. "In furtherance of those goals, over the last year, city staff, officials, and outside partners have been working on the redesign of the official city of Salem website."

Pangallo said the community is invited to provide feedback on the site as designers work on edits, tweaks and improvements.
The site is designed to allow Salem community members to be able to more easily engage with local government services through some of the new featured modules. The redesigned website has the capability to serve as a personalized tool to download forms, submit applications and permits, pay bills, and submit and track inquiries.

"With the new website the city of Salem aims to increase its community engagement and enhance communication between residents and the departments serving the city," Pangallo said.
