Salem Little League Softball And Baseball Parade Returns For 2022
The parade on May 1 will mark a return to tradition two years after the start of the COVID-19 health crisis.
SALEM, MA — A traditional rite of youth spring sports is returning to Salem two years after the onset of the COVID-19 health crisis.
The Salem Little League Softball and Baseball Parade will occur on May 1 this year. Traditional parades were not permitting the previous two years of the pandemic.
This year's parade will depart the Salem State University O'Keefe parking lot at 10:30 a.m. and head up Forest Avenue to Lafayette Street. The march of the youth players will then continue onto Clifton Avenue and into Forest River Park.

Salem police advised that there will be temporary road closures as the players cross intersections along the route.
The last Salem Little League Softball and Baseball parade was on April 28, 2018.

All players should report in full uniform to the O'Keefe Center at Salem State parking lot at 225 Canal Street at 10 a.m. on May 1.
