Salem Package Theft Suspect Surrenders
Salem police did not release the name of the suspect because the investigation is not complete and the man has not been arrested.

SALEM, MA — A Salem man turned himself in to police hours after they released footage from a home security camera that showed him stealing a package.
Salem police are not releasing the name of the man, as he has not been arrested and there may have been another person involved, the Salem News reported. Police said the man turned himself in Thursday afternoon after several people had recognized him on the video.
Salem police posted video from a home security system on Social media Thursday morning and asked for help in identifying the people shown on the footage.

The video footage shows an older, silver Jeep Liberty pull up in front of the residence. A man talking on a cellphone emerges from the passenger seat and casually walks up to the doorstep. In one motion he scoops up the package and gets back into the car, never removing the phone from his ear.
