Salem Public Schools Host ​Kindergarten Information, Expo Night

From Salem Public Schools: Families with children who will turn 5 years of age on or before August 31, 2017 are invited to attend the Salem Public Schools’ Kindergarten Information and Expo Night to learn about all of Salem’s schools, services and opportunities for incoming kindergarteners.

What: Kindergarten Information and Expo Night. A wonderful opportunity for families to pick up registration packet, learn about Salem’s seven schools for choice and sign up for a tour, meet our after school/school vacation week partners as well as speak with staff about registration, food services and transportation.
When: Tuesday, January 10, 2017 (Snow date: January 12, 2017 – Same Schedule)
6:30 – 8:00 PM
Two information sessions will be run during the evening
Information Session # 1 6:30 – 7:00 PM

• Welcome from Superintendent Margarita Ruiz
• Showcase of our schools and their principals
• A day in the life of a kindergarten student
• Learn about school choice and the registration process

Information Session #2 (repeat of Session #1) 7:15 – 7:45 PM

Kindergarten Expo 6:30 – 8:00 PM

• Afterschool / school vacation provider options
• School information tables with helpful staff to answer questions
• On-site Parent Information Center (PIC) staff to help you with registration questions
• Sign up for school tours on January 31st, February 1st and 2nd*

* Snow dates: Feb. 7, 8, 9
