Salem to Re-Dedicate Desert Storm Plaque on March 21
The re-dedication will commemorate 25 years since the end of combat operations.

Salem, MA - Mayor Kimberley Driscoll and Salem Veterans Agent Kim Emerling will rededicate a plaque at Salem City Hall to honor Salem veterans who served during Operation Desert Storm. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the conclusion of that military operation in the Middle East.
The dedication ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on March 21 at Salem City Hall. Veterans and their families are encouraged to attend the event.
The plaque that will be re-dedicated was originally installed at City Hall following the end of Desert Storm in the early 1990s. It was removed over a decade ago during a renovation project at City Hall, but never re-installed. The plaque will be placed on the wall of the first floor hallway of City Hall, on the right next to the Reception window when entering the building.
