Salem Schools Warn About Phone Solicitations
Salem Public Schools says it is not affiliated with a company asking for donations for high school sports teams.
SALEM, MA — Salem Public Schools is warning residents that it is not affiliated with a company that has been calling companies and organizations and asking for donations for Salem High School sports teams. The callers say they are from Big Game Promotions. "We do not have a contract with them at this time," the school system said in a social media post Tuesday morning.
Salem Patch has asked San Diego-based Big Game Promotions, a company that does paid fundraising for high schools and athletic programs, for comment and will update this story when we hear back from them. It's not clear if the calls are coming from the company or people purporting to be representatives of the company.
